Collaborative Research Project:
Translational Research of Pediatric Cancers

Japanese

Laboratories participate:

Laboratory of Innovative Cancer Therapeutics (Akira Nakagawara,Yohko Nakamura, et al)

Division of Molecular Carcinogenesis (Takehiko Kamijo, et al)

Division of Cancer Gevomics (Miki Ohira, et al)

Summary of project:

We have founded “Neuroblastoma Tumor Bank” for promoting translational research of pediatric cancers in Japan in November, 1995.  Since 2007, the bank was further expanded to be the “Tumor Bank” of the Japanese Neuroblastoma Study Group (JNBSG).

Each study group of pediatric cancer in Japan is currently organizing the systems of translational research for clinical application.  We aim to contribute to establish the fundamental systems to perform the translational research of childhood cancers by linking to those study groups.
