Profile:
Masatoshi Tagawa received his MD from Chiba University, School of Medicine in 1979 and completed postgraduate training course at Chiba University, majoring immunology. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, California and subsequently an associate professor of Department of Biochemistry, Chiba University. He joined Chiba Cancer Center in 1997 and currently the vice president elect of International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy of Cancer.

Gene and cell therapy for intractable cancer. Cell-mediated immunological responses against tumor antigens.

Comments/Future dream:
I hope to work on coordinate and seamless translational processes between basic achievements and clinical developments. My mission also includes teaching and training postdoctoral students through programs in immunology, virology, and biological and biomedical sciences at Chiba University.
