Summary:

"Department of Molecular Biology and Oncology" started in 2005 as the cooperation program between Chiba Cancer Center Research Institute and the Graduate School of Chiba University School of Medicine. The main research subjects are to understand i) the molecular mechanisms underlying carcinogenesis, ii) the biological properties of cancer cells, and iii) to apply our basic findings to translational research, development of new molecular-targeted drugs and cancer therapies.

The purpose of this department is to educate students to become scientists or technologists who have a wide academic viewpoint and spirit of challenge to pursue scientific fact based on our general instruction objective.
